ABOUT THE COOPERATIVE:
The Asociacion Chajulense Val Vaq Quyol cooperative is situated in the western highlands of
Guatemala at 5,500 feet above sea level, where they have diversified their crops to include organic
cardamom, chamomile, honey, and passionflower, along with artisanal products. Fair Trade
premiums have afforded health, credit, and education projects previously unavailable to their
community.
