ABOUT THE COOPERATIVE:
CENAPROC, a cooperative of 140 small farmers, took home two awards in 2007 from the
prestigious Cup of Excellence® competition. The forested slopes where the coop has been
producing organic coffee for over 20 years contrast sharply with the widespread damage of
slash-and-burn agriculture that is taking place all around them.
